Double Memory

Double Memory examines process in vernacular landscapes. These diptychs, by joining together, create a hinge of connection activating comparison. More is noticed because of the visual textures created at the joint.

The disunion, or near union of the two photographs heightens examination. This relationship may even illicit feelings of the uncanny, where the two images are near, but not of, the exact same place.

Double Memory is a process of exploring, finding, making and remembering. It is a means to reactivate the static nature of picturesque based photographic representation.
